I.M [아이엠], also known under his real name, Changkyun [창균], from the South Korean boy group Monsta X, is currently touring the world for the first time as a solo artist. The tour is set to have 18 shows—and four of them will be held in Europe. He kicked off his I.M World Tour 2024 “Off The Beat” in Seoul on the 25th and 26th of May and will continue with the European tour leg on the 26th of July in London.
For the ones who don’t already know him through his band Monsta X, I.M is a well known rapper, singer, songwriter, and producer from South Korea. He debuted with his bandmates in Monsta X in 2015 and has been working on projects outside of his group since 2016. Despite his previous solo work, his official solo debut wasn’t until 2021, in which he released his first solo EP, named Duality.
One year later in 2022, I.M decided not to renew his contract with Starship Entertainment but will still continue to participate in Monsta X’s future plans. A few months later, he signed an exclusive contract with Sony Music Korea to pursue his solo activities. Incorporating various genres into his music, the influence of Trap, Soul, R&B, and Jazz can be heard on his releases.
