After a successful European tour, the South Korean Black Metal band Madmans Esprit is unstoppable. They have already announced their Latin America tour for 2025. There will be three shows, with stops in Mexico, Chile, and Brazil. Don’t miss your chance to see them live!
Madmans Esprit started their activities in 2010. After a few member changes, vocalist and frontman Kyuho continued the project as a solo project for a while. Today, former support members Juho (guitar), Somyul (guitar), Geon (bass), and Limu (drums) have officially been announced as full members of Madmans Esprit in August 2024.
Their music can be described as ›Depressive Suicidal Black Metal‹: Progressive and Death Metal with influences of Classical and Folk music. Strongly influenced by bands such as Shining (Sweden) and DIR EN GREY (Japan), the main composer Kyuho paints a very pessimistic picture of humanity.
His lyrics seem to be very depressive and emotional at first, but if you pay attention to the details you will find a lot of political statements and criticism about society and life itself. Kyuho uses a lot of philosophical thoughts in his lyrics, which makes it interesting to dive deep into their songs. The songs are written in Korean, English, Japanese, and German. Combined with dark Visual-kei outfits and accessories like razor blades and blood, Madmans Esprit live shows are an all-over experience.
