MONO in Europe 2024—An OATH and a Chamber Ensemble

MONO, the Japanese Post-Rock legends who just released their newest, epic work, called OATH, this June, are returning to Europe with a very special 25th anniversary tour!

Touring through venues all over Europe, the band will be joined by a chamber ensemble. Surely, some of you are drawn back to their eponymous performance in London 2021 now, where the band performed their 20th anniversary with a full orchestra. And if you haven’t been able to join this wonderful event, you’ll get another chance now!

OATH, MONO’s most recent album, follows the tracks the band introduced in their preceding works Nowhere, Now Here and Pilgrimage of the Soul. Leaning towards a bigger influence of orchestral and electronic sounds, all three albums offer a different build up to the band’s iconic soundscape than previous releases.

Also, MONO is known for a completely different intensity when playing live, compared to their album recordings. So, bringing a chamber ensemble on tour to allow a natural, more detailed and vivid growth towards each breaking point is an absolute must-see experience.

If you want to get in the mood for the upcoming tour, go check out their live album Beyond the Past, featuring the above mentioned live concert in London, as well as OATH—the only album that ever reached my personal top MONO album of all time: You are there. Get your tickets now!
