NIGHTMARE was formed in 2000 by vocalist Yomi, guitarists Sakito and Hitsugi, bassist Ni~Ya, and drummer Ruka. Their music contains influences from Rock, Hardcore Punk, and Melodic Metal, combined with Visual-kei aesthetics. All of the members work on songs together, having a balanced workflow. Also, NIGHTMARE has an alter-ego band called Sendai Kamotsu [仙台貨物], which is more of a fun project with comedy shows and fun songs than a serious band.
They gained a lot of fans in the anime community by providing soundtracks for the well-known and all-time classic anime Death Note. The opening song, called The World, is still one of the most popular songs from NIGHTMARE, so no wonder they named their tour after it. They played their first concert in Europe at Japan Expo 2013, but haven’t returned since. Now, they finally do their very own European tour to celebrate their 25th band’s anniversary.
